How to Make a Tiger Craft Stick Puppet
Step 1: Cut several strips of orange felt for the stripes of the tiger. Glue these on the cardboard roll.
Step 2: Cut 3 pipe cleaners in half. Near the top of the roll (just below where the nose would be) poke each half of the pipe cleaner through the roll on both sides of the nose. Push back on the pipe cleaners (on the inside of the roll) to hold in place.
Step 3: Glue the two cotton balls on the roll. Cut a small triangle using the pink felt and glue this above the cotton balls.
Step 4: Cut 2 larger triangles using the pink felt and glue this to the inside of the roll (on top) to make the ears.
Step 5: Take the orange pipe cleaner and poke this through the back of the toilet paper roll towards the bottom to create the tail. Bend it to make it look more like a tail.
Step 6: Using the black and white marker, draw on the mouth and eyes (or use the wiggle eyes).
Step 7: Now take your craft stick and glue this to the inside of the paper roll (in the back).
There you have it. Your own fuzzy tiger puppet. Let the kids feel the different textures of the felt and cotton balls.
