How to Make a Woven Fork Flower Corsage

Step 1: Cut a circle from the thin cardboard. Make your circle the size you want for your corsage.

Step 2: Cut a piece of yarn about 6″ long and place it between the 2nd and 3rd prong of the fork. Leave it here until needed (see step 6).

Step 3: Take another piece of yarn (about 2 feet long) and weave it between the tines of the fork starting at the base.

See next step for weaving instructions.

Step 4: To weave your flower, place the yarn in front of the first two prongs. Then slide it between the 2nd and 3rd prong bring the yarn behind the 3rd and 4th prong.

Bring it back around to the front and place it over the 4th and 3rd prong. Place it between the 3rd and 2nd prong brining it behind the 2nd and 1st prong.

Step 5: Repeat this weaving pattern until the fork prongs are completely covered.

Step 6: Take the first piece of yarn from step 2 and bring the two ends together going over the top of the fork. Tie it in a loose knot.

Step 7: Slip all the yarn off of the fork and tighten the knot to hold in place. Spread out the yarn and shape flower if needed.

Tip: Trim off any excess yarn.

Step 8: Glue your flower to the circle cardboard. Repeat steps 2 through 6 until you have covered the cardboard circle for your corsage.

Step 9: Cut several leaf shapes from the green paper and glue these randomly onto the cardboard in between the flowers. Glue on the safety pin to the back of your corsage.

You can even add some ribbon or a bow to make this flower craft idea even more special for your Mother, Grandmother or loved ones.
